5 Reasons to Visit the CCFM\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For a dance class<\/h3>\n

The CCFM houses a school of dance for all ages!\u00a0 If you\u2019re looking to dance or would like your kids to learn to dance or perfect hip-hop, ballet, jazz, you\u2019re in the right place.\u00a0 The CCFM also offers courses in jigging and traditional folkloric dance to continue the transfer of Franco-Manitoban heritage!<\/p>\n

To eat a tourti\u00e8re<\/h3>\n

There wasn\u2019t a French-Canadian Pavillion to visit this year as the Folklorama festival didn\u2019t take place, but it\u2019s no big deal, there\u2019s tourti\u00e8re year-round at the CCFM!\u00a0 To enjoy this traditional French-Canadian fare, head to Stella\u2019s, a restaurant serving you in both official languages.<\/p>\n

A little anecdote:\u00a0 tourti\u00e8re was initially only offered on the menu at Stella\u2019s in Saint-Boniface but its popularity made it so that we can now eat it at every Stella\u2019s restaurant in Winnipeg!<\/p>\n

To laugh<\/h3>\n

The CCFM frequently organizes comedy shows. \u201cLa LIM,\u201d a Franco-Manitoban improvisation league, meets every Friday night to surround themselves with people and good laughs.\u00a0 A surprise awaits us at the end of the year to bid adieu to this weird year that has been 2020.<\/p>\n

To listen to jazz<\/h3>\n

Every two weeks, on Tuesday nights at the CCFM, you can enjoy an evening of jazz. For seven or ten dollars, come and listen to musicians in this unique and intimate setting.\u00a0 The concerts will resume in October.<\/p>\n

To view Francophone films<\/h3>\n

The Cin\u00e9mental film festival will take place at the CCFM during the last two weeks of October (the 23, 24, 25 of October and the 30, 31 of October and 1st of November).\u00a0 The program is offering comedies, dramas, animated films – there\u2019s something for all tastes and all ages.<\/p>\n

For your information<\/h3>\n

The CCFM has other surprises up its sleeve for this fall and winter, online and in person at 340 Provencher Blvd.\u00a0 If you choose to go in person to Saint-Boniface, bring your mask!\u00a0 The CCFM is following public health recommendations:\u00a0 the capacity has been reduced to 30% and concerts are played in the biggest rooms possible to allow for physical distancing.<\/p>\n
