Tours are offered Tuesday to Saturday from mid-May to the end of August and begin at the Tourisme Riel kiosk on the Esplanade Riel (the pedestrian bridge next to the Provencher Bridge) at 10am; 11:15am; 12:30pm, and 1:45pm

Offered as part of Jeudis Francos Thursdays, we offer an exploration of old St. Boniface, lunch in the Maison des artistes’s sculpture garden, as well as a dramatized visit of the Gabrielle Roy house.
The tour begins at the old St. Boniface City Hall (219 Provencher Boulevard) at 11am and most of the experience takes place outdoors.
Note: If you do not book in advance, we are unable to guarantee that you will get your first choice for lunch options. We will do our very best to accomodate for dietary restrictions.

Download this app and set off on your own adventure. Described in the past as the Gateway to the West, St. Boniface played an important role in the history of Manitoba and Western Canada. Its origins date back to 1818 with the arrival of Fathers Provencher and Dumoulin at Red River Colony and the first years of the Catholic mission. Through the years, religious activities increased. This historical tour will allow you to discover through time the development of the constantly changing sites and institutions that contributed greatly to the development of Manitoba’s and Western Canada’s French-Canadian and Métis communities. Are you ready to get spooked and feel shivers running down your spine? This Fall, follow along on a chilly evening as you are guided through the streets of Saint-Boniface, discovering the dark secrets and deadly stories that shaped this community into what it is today. This outdoor walking tour lasts 2 hours and will be offered three times a week in the Fall, starting at either 6 pm or 7 pm.
